Korora Linux was born out of a desire to make Linux easier to use for non-experts. While it has a long history based on Gentoo, in 2010 it was reborn as a Fedora remix and live DVD using a customised http://alternativeto.net/software/KDE/ as the default desktop. It includes various tweaks and extras to make the system "just work" out of the box.
